This year we will working with Operation Christmas Child to fill shoeboxes for children across the world for the holidays. On Nov 19th the Sunday School students will spend their normal lesson timing packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child and learning about the impact they will have on children around the world. As a part of this mission project, GUMC will also be a drop off location for Operation Christmas Child this year to collect and pack shoeboxes to send to the distribution center. This will take place from Monday 11/13 Monday 11/20 (various hours throughout the week). Please consider signing up to help us with this project. Youth are welcome to volunteer as long as they are at least 13 years of age. Items that we will be collecting for shoe boxes are: dolls, stuffed animals, soccer balls with pumps, other "wow" items or toys, personal care items, flip flops or shoes, hats, sunglasses, winter items, crafts and activities, small toys.
