Journey Retreat - Middle School
Come join us for our annual middle school JOURNEY retreat at Rockbridge Camp the weekend of March 10th-12th. This awesome weekend is run by the Jeremiah Project, the same organization that hosts our summer Mission Trips. We'll be there along with several hundred other middle schoolers as we dive deeper in our faith, enjoy some awesome musical worship together, and have access to the fun outdoor activities like the rock wall, ropes course, and giant swing! The plan is for us to meet here at the church that Friday at 3:30 before carpooling down to Goshen, VA. We'll stop for dinner in Harrisonburg along the way before getting to the retreat center. We'll be in cabin-style housing with bunk beds but folks will need to bring their own sheets or sleeping bags along with changes of clothes, toiletries, and any necessary medicine they might need for the weekend. To learn a little bit more about what to expect during the retreat itself, take a look here: http://journeyweekend.com/home
We'll be heading back to the church after we clean up the camp that morning. Depending on timing, we'll arrive back here around 1 PM. We typically have students contact parents while we're heading home to keep them updated on our schedule. The cost for this retreat is $125 per student but there is no cost to adult leaders coming with us. For families that might have multiple students going on the same retreat, the cost is instead $100 per student. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at youth@gumchurch.com!
