Youth Missions

Summer 2019

We are excited to be heading out on youth mission projects for the 19th consecutive summer in 2019! We have participated in several different trips through those years, and our 2019 offerings are below. We hope you will be in service with us this summer - If you're interested in joining us or should you have any questions, please email or call our Youth Director, Bert Miller at

We are in need of parents to help drive & supervise the trips - if you would like to attend, please let Bert know by email. Thanks!

High School Mission Trip with YouthWorks

June 30-July 6, 2019 - Brooklyn, New York

This summer, the high school youth will be working with a different organization than we have done in the past: YouthWorks. YouthWorks is an international mission trip organization that specializes in service projects in city environments rather than rural ones. This mission trip will focus more on interpersonal service work rather than more hammer-and-nail projects that we've done in the past. We'll be working with senior centers, soup kitchens, food banks, and children's camps in Brooklyn this summer with some painting and repairs possible as well. This trip may be a little different than what we've done in the past but we want people to understand there are needs everywhere that we, as Christians, should be aware of and try to alleviate. If Brooklyn was its own city, it would be the 4th biggest city in the U.S. (bigger than Philadelphia, Houston, and San Diego on its own). We'll have more information about the specifics of the trip this year but I highly encourage you to consider taking a small step out of your comfort zone with this trip!

Cost - $300 per youth, adults are free

Middle School Mission Trip with Jeremiah Project

July 21-27  2019 - Winchester, VA

This will be the 18th summer we have participated in The Jeremiah Project (JP) - a middle school specific mission trip. The youth and adults who participate in JP spend the week performing home repair tasks such as porch construction, house painting, wheelchair ramp construction, yard work, and other jobs. A strong emphasis is also placed on interacting with the persons for whom we work. This is designed to help us see that all people have many types of needs, including the visible, physical needs. Families are referred to us by agencies or individuals, and the family requests the type of work needed - this way we meet their needs as they see them.

Cost - $300 per youth, adults are free
