Venturing Crew 1856

Venturing is a  BSA program for young men and women who are 14 years of age,
or 13 years of age and completed the eighth grade through 20 years of age.
Previous experience with scouting is not required.

Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people
mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.   The
crew members plan and participate in High Adventure activities (camping,
canoeing, rock climbing, hiking. scuba diving etc...)

If you are interested in participating in this group, this is their current
meeting schedule:

Dates: Mondays, during the school year
Time: 7:30 pm - 8:30pm
Location: Gainesville United Methodist Church (second floor classroom)

The Advisors/Committee members for this crew have varied experiences working
with local youth.  Several have been involved with local boy scout and girl
scout troops as well as having one former UMC wilderness camp counselor.

The world-famous Boy Scout Troop 581 meets every Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Gainesville United Methodist Church for 90 minutes of non-stop Scouting excitement.  Interested?  Stop by anytime!
