Welcome to Gainesville United Methodist Church - Where ALL Are Welcome!

We are so glad that you've found us, and we hope that you will join us for one of our Christmas worship services:

For information on our regular worship services, which resume Sunday, December 30th please visit our Worship page.

Blue Christmas Service

Wednesday, December 19th - 7:00pm

Our regular Wednesday service will be focused on a "Blue Christmas" on December 19th. We encourage all to attend this service, as we place a special focus on those who have lost loved ones, and for whom the holiday season is an especially difficult period. In addition to our regular service, we will have an opportunity for those who have lost loved ones to place angels on our memorial tree, and our pastors and care team will be available for additional prayer following the service.

A Modern Christmas Eve

Sunday, December 23rd - 7:00pm

This Christmas Eve service is a modern take on the traditional candlelight Christmas service and features our acclaimed praise band leading us in worship and includes a relevant, biblical message by one of our pastors, along with Communion (where all are welcome to receive) and a candlelight response to conclude the service. A wonderful evening service if you love modern music, casual worship!

Children's Christmas Pageant

Monday, December 24th - 3:00pm

This pageant is a time-honored tradition of Gainesville UMC, and is open to any and all children who would like to participate! Each child is given a brief line, the costumes are simple and the only rehearsal is the day of the pageant. Even if you don't have kids, or your child isn't participating, we encourage you to come and enjoy this wonderful worship service retelling the Christmas story in an imaginative and fun way! If you'd like to sign up your child, please email our pageant coordinator, Vickie Gorgone.
