Welcome to Gainesville United Methodist Church - Where ALL Are Welcome!

We are so glad that you've found us, and we hope that you will join us for one of our Christmas worship services:

For information on our regular worship services, which resume Wednesday, December 27th please visit our Worship page.

A Modern Christmas Eve

Saturday, December 23rd - 7:00pm

This brand new service is a modern take on the traditional candlelight Christmas service and features our acclaimed praise band leading us in worship and includes a relevant, biblical message by one of our pastors, along with Communion (where all are welcome to receive) and a candlelight response to conclude the service. A wonderful evening service if you love modern music, casual worship!

Christmas Cantata Service

Sunday, December 24th - 11:00am

We will have just one service during the morning of Christmas Eve and it will be our traditional Christmas Cantata. This wonderful service of music and reflection on the Christmas story features traditional hymns, along with special music by our Chancel Choir and special guest musicians. In place of the traditional sermon, we feature the Word of God proclaimed through our cantata, led by the choir.

Children's Christmas Pageant

Sunday, December 24th - 5:00pm

This pageant is a time-honored tradition of Gainesville UMC, and is open to any and all children who would like to participate! Each child is given a brief line, the costumes are simple and the only rehearsal is the day of the pageant. Even if you don't have kids, or your child isn't participating, we encourage you to come and enjoy this wonderful worship service retelling the Christmas story in an imaginative and fun way! If you'd like to sign up your child, please email Vickie Gorgone.

Candlelight Christmas Eve

Sunday, December 24th - 7:00pm & 9:00pm

These Christmas Eve services feature our Chancel Choir, a brass quintet, traditional Christmas hymns, a relevant, biblical message from one of our pastors, Communion (where all are welcome to receive) and singing Silent Night by candlelight. This warm & traditional evening is a beautiful service that will gather us together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ!
